Poker game last night. Probly my second time gambling, after some roulette earlier this year. I like poker more, and I guess maybe I'm better at it. Small stakes, I guess, but I can't afford to be losing money on my income. Went into it with $20, came out with $40. Put the free money into the tank of my car on the way home. Good thing, too, otherwise I mighta run out of fuel on the freeway. Annoyingly, I had about $60 towards the end, and I said "About time for me to go home", and the guys said "fifteen more minutes", and twenty minutes later I still had about $60 and I said "time to go", and the guys said "five more hands", and five hands later I was down to $40 and we left. Must learn to be more assertive. Must learn to bet higher when I've got three queens and there's nothing on the board that'll make a better hand. Must learn that I'm a completely useless bluff and that if I've got nothing I should just cut my losses. Ah well. Still came out ahead.
